I think what they need is a collective kick in the butt. They get very creative in making fools of themselves about every other week nowadays.

Agreed, Raul and Ruud are getting older, but they've been quite effective this year, in my opinion. Real must think about replacing them in the long run.

theres no way real are ever gonna win the CL with these players.. theyre just too old and slow to compete!!

theyre very much similar to the situation in milan.. they've got a couple of young world class players, and the rest of the bench are 30+ players... not a winning combo if you ask me

Madrid's lack of creativity is something i wrote about on Goal- i watched the defeat to Deportivo and for the life of me i do not understand why they didn't sign Riquelme when he was available. Guti has 1 good game every 10 and there is absolutely nobody creative in the side. I dont wanna pin point where shuster went wrong- but playing snijder wide on the right instead of playing him in the middle is a mistake. His faith in Guti is unwarranted. But come to think of it, neither players have been consistant. Gago should be played more often, he has the passing ability Diarra seems to lack completely. Raul is dying and everyone can see it apart from the managing directors at the club (which is incidently the main reason why i swapped Madrid for Barca as soon as zidane left)- Higuain should get more of a run up front, not as a wide man. I cannot see madrid winning the CL for many years to come- they need what i call a 'wholesale' operation. Too many underperformers frm the playing staff, and too much interferance from the board on issues only the manager should dictate. Raul for example- build the damn statue and let him go. The defence needs new blood, so does the midfield and strike; Ruud is getting old too, Saviola needs to go to another team, Soldado will work his socks off- mite even give you a goal against a struggling side, but he's not what i would regard worthy of a place in a Madrid side.

i dont understand why they're still top of the league. Far too often Robinho rescues the game for them, but he cannot do that every game. Such an average team to be in the position they're in now is a big achievement, believe me.

they're pretty much like chelsea.... slowly but quietly winning and winning.. game after game.. with incredible luck

sometimes things work out your way...

anyway.. what do you guys think of their manager? is he gonna stay? SHOULD he stay? or do they need a new one..

errmm.. mourinho?

mourinho's been linked with 20 clubs already lol he'll definitely get them back to their winning ways. But the problem with madrid is, no matter how well you do, the board is NEVER grateful (thats another reason why i hate the club)

if not this season, then definitely next season..

but i think he'll go after the euros ...

he wont EVERYTHING there is to win with manU .. why should he stay?

its a very similar situation to henry and barca

if arsenal won the CL .. they henry wouldve gone to barca

but because they lost... he stayed another season

.... no we have ronaldo.. who has just won the CL, and has no reason to stay with manU anymore.
