its not exactly football news is it now lol didnt you know? he's been dating his daughter ages.

i see some similarities with Aguero. i watched the kid play in the final against Czech republic under 21's i think, he was the captain that night and he scored. He's a good player, has moments of brilliance and his balance is very very gud- when he decides not to dive- which is often the case with him. Having said that, he gets alot of rough treatment from defenders in spain. He's more of a striker than L. Messi, has good technique too. Currently enjoying a very good season it must be said.

now he has to compete with Messi, Teves, Cruz, Milito, Crespo (who's on his way out now it seems, not getting a game for Inter) but he will be there, no doubt he'll come in to the side at someone's expense. He's good enough to represent Argentina.

oh.. i thought kun was a spanish or argentinian thing..

no problem teee kun Very Happy

and about crespo... i think argentina need him to get back to his best.. he was a very good target man... and without him, well, you only have Cruz, who's so underrated and forgotten that i dont really know if he has the balls to play in semi final and final games..

messi and aguero are incredible... i just hope the keep on improving on their physical game... they need to puff up like diego.. no more diving and being pushed around.. pretty much like rooney, he's fairly short, but has the body of a bull.
with that body.. and their skills... they'll be the best players in the world.

I remember simone... never thought of him as a manager though.. i think he played in la liga or serie a right?

what about veron? what happened to the little witch? Very Happy

hmmmm.. good for him

it's gonna be interesting to see simone manage the team.. hes almost like dechampes of france.. not a very good player, but could be a very good manager.

i have this theory.. that good players dont make good managers... but bad players, make good managers

i think we had this discussion in some other thread..

anyways.. lets wait and see what argentina have to offer

Wouldn't Rafa be a good choice to manage Argentina. Speaks Spanish, is a proven winner, and for unfathomable reasons (for me at last) is at his best in knockout competitions.

Like the CL

Like the UEFA Cup

And like the world Cup......

well... i dont think he's (or any other european manager for that matter) is interested in managing a national side... UNTILL he wins as many trophies as he can and gets fed up with the whole thing..

having said that... look at sir alex.. he's been around for so long, its gonna be hard for manU to imagine a team without him.

i dont rate queroz as a replacement.. he's just a step backwards if he takes over the club.

but then again.. who can replace SAF?

Nobody, man, nobody. He comes up with funny schemes all the time, and he's (almost) always right. I've made a fool of myself everytime I've second-guessed the old goat. Something I never do publicly anymore....

it may be a possibility- because we have mascherano, toress and a spanish manager who seems to like Argentinians! I cant see why he wouldnt want to join us. The question is, would Athletico wanna lose their skipper? i doubt it. Unless we put in an offer for 10-15 mill, offering 10 mill plus a player maybe the next best thing

mascherano is coming back to argentina it seems this summer ... it should be a good break for him from europe.. and a chance to meet up with family and friends.

his dribbling is getting better i must admit.. a few more messi like runs, ending up with goals, would make him the perfect DM! Smile

ARGENTINA CALL FOR INSUA AND LETO

Liverpool youngsters Sebastian Leto and Emiliano Insua have been included in the Argentina Under-23 squad for next week's friendly with Catalonia.

The Anfield duo are among 17 overseas based players for the game at Barcelona's Nou Camp on May 24.

The match will form part of Argentina's plans for this summer's Beijing Olympics.

The problem with him is the fact that Rafa plays him as a holding player and that takes away 70% of his game- his forward runs, shooting and his passing ability. He's too weak to be playing as a holding player

i agree... against the top 3, he is absolute shit... especially against chelsea.. he gets pushed and bullied like a little kid.

he needs to puff up.... or move to spain in a season or two.. i honestly dont think he has it in him to be a makalele

thats the thing, he's not a holding midfielder!! he's an attacking player and should be used that way

i want a winger and another striker.

dont forget, we still don't have barry, and we still havnt yet bought dossena. I see Stevie coming out every other day asking for more funds.. i think there's a problem going on behind the scenes.
