Yep,

Lyon's next.

I reckon they're not as good as they were in the last few years, but they still have the players to compete....

The youngster was in no doubt as to who his favourite Red Devil was.

"Yes, it's Rooney," he said.

"He's a great attacker who gets involved in the game, and knows how to set up and score goals."

Rooney
has been key to United this season, with the Manchester side losing
five games in which he wasn't involved, and racking up an 81% victory
level with Wayne in the team.

As such, it was clear that Benzema
preferred the young Liverpudlian to Cristiano Ronaldo, despite the
latter's incredible goalscoring record of 27 in 29 games.

"I don't pay him too much attention," said Benzema of Ronaldo.

"He's a good player who can make a difference, but I prefer Rooney."

Benzema himself has managed 23 goals and six assists for OL this season in all competitions.

He will square off with Rooney - and Ronalo - at the Stade Gerland this evening.

its too crucial a time for them to bench main players... ronaldo will play for 45 mins.. or.. sir alex will try to score a couple of goals before half time.. if they dont manage to score, or just score 1 goal.. then he'll come on.

Mercifully Ferguson thought the same as you, 2-0, with two goals by Ronaldo!

Now we're really on top!

yer.. i wouldnt have minded if we lost in a straight and fair game

but the ref had to fuck us ...

yellow card to torres? wtf was that about?

red card to masch for questioning his decision? how many MILLIONS of times have players questioned refs..

and its ironic that eboue did THE EXACT SAME THING in the chelsea game.. and got nothing.

oh well ...

Spalletti: Ronaldo No Show-Off

Roma boss Luciano
Spalletti has defended Cristiano Ronaldo in the wake of suggestions
that he showboated against the Italians at Stadio Olimpico last week

Several Roma players came out in the press insisting that the
Portuguese winger had attempted to humiliate them when he dipped into
his bag of tricks in Manchester United’s 2-0 away win in the first leg
of their Champions League quarterfinal, with labels such as ‘big head’
and ‘show off’ being bandied about in the media.

But Spalletti
claims that such comments were made in the heat of the moment, while he
and his players were afflicted by the disappointment of defeat.

“Some
of the things said by our club after the game were perhaps said in the
heat of the moment because we had the bitter taste of defeat in our
mouths,” he said.

“Our comments had the bitterness of defeat in them because we were disappointed after that game.

“Sometimes we may say things that we normally would not and that is what happened.”

And
Spalletti insists that Ronaldo was not arrogant in his actions, but was
merely displaying his technical prowess through playing his natural
game.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is an excellent player,” he said. “It is something that he has shown through his game.

“He is a very exuberant player and a very fair player. He is a very correct player.

“That's what he does on the pitch.”

beating arsenal was just about it ... one hand on the league.. and drawing against chelsea will seal it.

heck.. even losing against them i think will be ok, since you have more goals

Anderson was amazing off the bench.
Evra was very solid, as was OH and Pique.

Rio made me nervous a few times. haha

Fantastic result.

Okay
First off, that was absolute bullshit, this is twice the same ref has fucked over Utd this season. Brutal call.

As for injuries, Vidic got kneed i the face (no call, go figure), lost a tooth, and has a gash on his face.
Rooney has a minor knock.

I love what SAF said at in the post game interview, 'Chelsea has to play Newcastle, who are playing well as of late, but you know they'll get a penalty final minute'

2 league games and its ours. We still have the cards, but a draw today would have been better.
4 games left, I said Utd have to win all four (including CL)

it do or die time ...

i wish both manU and chelsea would crash out ;p cuz neither liverpool nor barca have a chance in hell for the league.. might as well win something.

but we'll see

something tells me it's gonna be a barca-chelsea final

chelsea havent lost at the bridge for 2 years now! for fucks sake.

its up to us now... its up to torres to score.. and riise to fuck us ;p

The last lost at the Bridge came from Utd, if I recall correctly.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a Liverpool-ManUtd final but the odds seem against it.
